# Meta Pixel (Facebook)

> Automatic sending of platform conversion events to Meta Pixel

## Setup

Paste the standard Meta Pixel snippet with your Pixel ID into the school's [custom code](/en/customization/js-config) (**For developers → Custom code**, HTML tab).
The platform detects `window.fbq` and starts sending events automatically.

## Events sent

[Conversion events](/en/analytics/events) are mapped to
[Meta standard events](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/402791146561655)
(which support automatic ad optimization) and two custom events:

### Sign-up

  Registration of a new account. The `registration_method` parameter is `email` or `phone`.

### Lead (onboarding form)

  The onboarding form is filled in.

### Course view

  Course page view. Parameters: `content_type: 'product'`, `content_ids`.

### Demo lesson opened

  A demo lesson is opened. Parameters: `content_ids`, `lesson_id`. A custom event:
  you can set up a custom conversion for it in Events Manager.

### Free course enrollment

  Enrollment in a free course. Parameter: `content_ids`.

### Checkout initiated

  Proceeding to checkout. Parameters: `num_items`, `content_ids`.

### Purchase

  Successful payment. Parameters: `value`, `currency` (ISO 4217), `content_type`, `content_ids`.
  The invoice uuid is passed as `eventID`: Meta itself merges duplicates with the same `eventID`
  within 48 hours. The event is not sent for payments in internal currencies (points), because
  Meta requires a real currency.
