# Yandex Metrica

> Automatically send platform target events to Yandex Metrica goals

## Setup

Paste the standard counter snippet into the school's [custom code](/en/customization/js-config) (**For developers** → **Custom code**, HTML tab) and also
specify the counter number in `window.YM_ID` — the platform needs it to call `reachGoal`:

    // ... standard Yandex Metrica counter snippet ...

    window.YM_ID = 12345678; // your counter number
</script>
```

## Goals

In the counter settings, create [JS goals](https://yandex.ru/support/metrica/general/goal-js-event.html)
with the following identifiers:

### Sign-up

  Registration of a new account.
</ParamField>

### Lead (onboarding questionnaire)

<ParamField body="lead" type="reachGoal">
  The onboarding questionnaire has been completed.
</ParamField>

### Course view

<ParamField body="view_course" type="reachGoal">
  A course page view.
</ParamField>

### Demo lesson opened

<ParamField body="view_demo_lesson" type="reachGoal">
  A demo lesson has been opened.
</ParamField>

### Free course enrollment

<ParamField body="free_course_enroll" type="reachGoal">
  Enrollment in a free course.
</ParamField>

### Checkout started

<ParamField body="begin_checkout" type="reachGoal">
  Proceeding to payment.
</ParamField>

### Purchase

<ParamField body="purchase" type="reachGoal">
  Successful payment. Goal parameters: `order_price`, `currency` (not passed for internal currencies).
</ParamField>

### Course completion

<ParamField body="complete_course" type="reachGoal">
  Completion of a course.
</ParamField>
